Born into my family’s New York deli on Long Island, I was then raised working long, hard hours since age 9 in our remote Pocono Mountains General Store. I prepared and served from-scratch salads, bakery goods and deli favorites including specialty foods for our local Scandinavian following. We were the only gas station for miles; even the town’s tiny Post Office was the back wall of our store. Our potbelly stove was kept lively and hot all winter long, drawing in the regulars for banter and provisions. Then I would go upstairs where we lived and cook for my younger 3 siblings. They loved my cooking for them, and to this day we share recipes and dinner party photos from afar.

Having been the founding restaurateur of a large organic café & arts mecca, Soup to Nuts Coffee House, I’ve been a lifelong healthy gourmet chef and organic gardener, a 25-year widely published outdoor & travel magazine writer, the Producer of stunning digital magazines on world food/culture/clean living: Life Recipe Magazine. Now, as an international cookbook author, I am here to fold it all together and drizzle with a warm, sweet welcome: to my teaching kitchen and memorable cooking class events, at Fearless-Foodies.com… (with a DASH!)

STUFF MOST PEOPLE WOULDN’T KNOW ABOUT ME Some of my life’s best cooking experiences happened as a chef and head chef at Soup Kitchens in busy Maine cities. I highly recommend volunteering in any capacity – what a healthy addiction. Farm handing at the Growing-to-Give Farm in Brunswick has harvested memories for life.
